I believe that the layout of an amp is one of the most important aspects of design. Get it right and you will have a nice quite amp in terms of unwanted hiss and/or hum. Get it wrong and your amp will sound like a fridge from 1983 full of 6 month old butter. If you would like to build the W.I.S.C amp and are not so great with circuit schematics, this layout diagram is a wise choice. The layout fits a 10 inch by 6 inch by 2 inch chassis and the circuit is built on top of a turret board. Print off the 1:1 scale drawing and if it measures 10 inch by 6 inch, you are good to go. The diagram comes with a parts list so you can match them to the diagram. The layout is designed so that there is minimal unwanted noise and this took quite a bit of time. If you think that some components are in a strange position; there is a reason for it.
